Why us

We Actually Play

Every review comes from real hours on a real device, not a press kit. If we didn't finish it, we tell you why.

No Genre Snobbery

A tiny farming sim gets the same care as a big adventure. Good design is good design, whatever the label says.

Plain Talk

We skip the marketing voice. Just what works, what doesn't, and whether it's worth the space on your phone.

Embercrown Saga

★★★★★ 4.6

Embercrown Saga is a compact turn-based RPG that respects how people play on phones. Battles are quick, the class system is deep enough to tinker with, and you can pause mid-dungeon without losing your place. The story leans into small character moments rather than a world-ending epic, which suits the format nicely.

  • Flexible class and skill system
  • Battles that fit into short sessions
  • Warm, character-driven story

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We follow our own curiosity and tips from readers, then someone on the team plays each candidate for real. We skip anything we can't actually spend meaningful time with. Genre doesn't matter to us; only whether it's interesting to write about.

Do developers pay you for reviews?

No. We don't take payment for coverage or for a better score, full stop. Sometimes a developer gives us a free copy or an early build, but that never changes what we write, and we'll always play it as a normal player would.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Absolutely, that's how we find a lot of our favorites. Just email us with the name and a line about why you like it. We can't promise to cover everything, but we read every suggestion, and we recently reviewed Big Bass Boat after a reader tip.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run a small amount of basic advertising to help cover hosting costs. It's kept clearly separate from our reviews and never influences a rating. If that ever changes, we'll say so openly on the site.
